Default Hello from a French Lowcarber

Hello Lowcarbers!

I'm Jeremy, I live in south-west of France in Toulouse
I'm29 years old 185cm & about 79kg. and above all single lol

I use to be a skinny type of guy in the past, but 3 years ago when i quit smoking ( 50 cigarette a day lol), i went from 70kg to 90..... I tought it was time to do something!

I practice a particular french bodyweight method made by 'Olivier Lafay', wich is a really great thing if you don't want to pay or go to a gym.
From november till last week, i was on a semi low carb diet, a paleo diet called Chrono-nutrition. It was really effective, i lost 10kgs and made a lot of muscles combining it with the bodyweight training :-)

I'm starting my 2nd week of Anabolic Diet from Dr DiPasquale, i can resume it for you:

Only take max 30gr of Carbs
the rest in calories has to be 60-50% from fat & 50-40 from protein.

I must say that i didn't expect to find a place like here!!! I have read some topics & this board seems to be a really cool place full of nice people ;-)

If you have some question about my previous diet, if some of you want to go to france etc... feel free to ask

Hope my language is readable ( didn't speak englis for long time now...)

See you soon and a HAPPY DIET TO ALL

Default Hiya!

Dear French lowcarber:
I had to reply to you..I have a son named Jeremy who is 27 and also single..lol.
I do not know of your weight training or your diets you mention, but it
sounds like a low carb diet. Welcome to the site and let us know how everything is in France..besides the rain right now (watching the French Open tennis).

Welcome! I must ask you my sister knows I am on Low Carb (back this past week) but gave me the book, "Why French Women Don't get Fat"... well it says the French incorporate bread and carbs and everything in their diet..but eat in moderation and with true pleasure. So last night I strayed and we ate a wonderful meal...well for me I want to get right back on low carb today and just wonder, I know you are a guy, but is it true about the French and women not getting fat because of their mindset over food??? Oh, my daughter and I would love to go to France..it sounds so romantic and exotic. ..but seems merely like a dream as doubt we'll ever have the finances and/or time to travel...meanwhile, I enjoy writing to and reading about people in other countries...Have a good day.

thanxs for all your messages!

~Boboe:

In france, there's also a lot of "fatty" people, but it's also true that it's a country of beautiful girls too. Why?

Because most of them are starving, lol... Forget the baguette, the fromage & all that kind of good stuff.... They just eat nothing at all lol. They really care of their weight since they are children lol. It's also a country-way of thinkin. In usa, you are always tempted to eat something, evereything is good, cheap but oversaturated in carbs and bad fats & these two combined make the worst results.
