I caught the following programme on Brit TV yesterday (although it was originally aired back in September:
Ryan tried to explain to his guests the food we would probably have eaten in the stone age, i.e., no grains, no processed food. Unfortunately, he didn’t, IMO, explain it particularly well. However, they could well have been due to the programme edits rather than what seemed to be his lack of knowledge.
There was an American woman taking part who did comment that it was just like the Atkins diet, no carbs!
Ryan's menu was as follows:
Starter: Spiced cauliflower & celery soup
Main course: Honey chicken with sautéed broccoli and Stone Age salad, (spinach, peppers, apple, pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts, raisins, coconut milk)
Dessert: Peach & date pudding (peaches, dates, sprinkled with almonds)
Here are the links to the recipes for his starter and main course:

He came joint second with a score of 27 out of a possible 40, so I think his fellow guests quite enjoyed his evening. Interestingly, the winner only managed to score a point higher at 28.
Unfortunately, the show is not currently available on Channel 4’s 4oD to watch again, but I have provided a link where it should hopefully be available shortly.
