Do you guys use sweeteners during pregnancy
I have been on low carb and plan another pregnancy soon. I am worried about not being able to use splenda during pregnancy.

I use splenda all the time...I'm not worried about it. I am almost 7 months pregnant. I'm sure there are other people on here that will jump all over my case, but that's their cause du jour, not mine. Ya know?

If you'd feel better about it, how about usign stevia or some other sweetener?

I'm no expert or anything, but I'm wondering if erythritol would be safe. I mean, it is a natural sweetener... so I would *think* it would be ok... or maybe even the new Truvia one which is a combo of stevia and erythritol, but doesn't taste like stevia.

I can't say for sure either way, but it might be worth looking into if youre unsure about splenda.

My doctor just said no to aspertame (sp?). Splenda should be OK because its a derivative of natural sugar. Right? I am drinking only water and juice, though I'm dying for a Coke Zero!

Diet Rite cola has Splenda, no aspartame. It's pretty good, give it a try!

I just had a baby in July and used Splenda through my entire pg (still do). My Dr. knew and said that was fine, but not to use aspertame.
