All CAPS = shouting. Please don't shout!

I would talk to your physician about this.

What does glucophage do / what is it for?

There are many people who have PCOS or diabetics who take glucophage while on Atkins.

I took glucophage while on Atkins for a long time and I was, for the most part, fine with it.

I stopped because I moved across the country and sort of slipped up with my eating plan and just never bothered calling my doctor to get more.

Well, for one thing, glucophage/metformin never did anything for me but make me feel sick... I had success only after I went off all the pills my doctor was pushing on me and let my body get itself working right naturally by sticking to a very low carb lifestyle with plenty of exercise.

Also, how is it a good thing to take chemicals to make your body do something that could be done naturally? You really don't need the pills because if you stick to a strict low-carb diet, your glucose/insulin will not get raised and will go down to normal levels within a week to a month, if you are serious about avoiding foods with a high glycemic index.
