Default Another LC Advantage (TMI Alert) Colonoscopy

Every ten years the colonoscopy rolls around. The big LC advantage? I didn't feel HUNGRY for the entire 36 hours (or more) of not eating. But I don't want to see a bottle of Propel Water for another ten years. (Propel taking on a whole new meaning, in this case.)

I'm sure my body went into major fat-burning for the whole time. Maybe I'll take up intermittent fasting after all.

The doc's office had a brand new digital scale that ripped FIVE pounds off the figure I get on my scale at home. I'll take that, too.

Anyway, getting plenty of fiber (via flaxseed, leafy veggies) and other good LC eating habits will help keep my colon and other parts in good shape for years to come. The outcome today (so to speak) was excellent.

Don't neglect your routine diagnostics, folks.

Best wishes.

Oh yes, the big C!

I can't believe they branded that stuff that tastes like goat spit "Propel"! For me, that's the worst part. Years ago, they made me drink 4 litres... I thought I would sooner get colon cancer to be honest with you. Now it's just two 1/2 glasses of "stuff", so that's not so bad.

But you are right, hopefully this WOE will help in the end.

Gurk! The only thing they had me take was 12 tablets of magnesium (supercharged). 4 the first dose then two every couple hours until gone. I couldn't even sleep that night. Too many visits to the bathroom that night.... If propel is the same then I totally agree. GURK!

Ha! Fellow sufferers!

Actually Propel Water is some kind of vitamin-enriched, no-calorie sports drink you get at the grocery store. Fruit flavors. Not bad. It isn't actually a laxative. Just a funny coincidence about the name. If they only knew! Not a marketing plus.

Everything else, however, IS a laxative. Bigtime.

In fact, on another forum here, I recommended that magnesium citrate to somebody, and it did the trick. So, in case of a clog....

Best wishes.
