Default new - Protein Power

New to forum. Protein Power efforts. Now 55 yrs old. Been trying to control weight most of life. Used to aim for 125 goal weight. Later 150 goal weight (actual medical goal). Now would be happy just to get my weight down to 180.

Weighing in now around 210 lbs. - I spend a lot of time losing and then rapidly regaining 5 pounds. Thoroughly discouraged.

Worn out from effort, but still trying.

I will try to learn quickly how to use the forum and offer support to others.

How about posting some menus to help us get started? Be as specific as possible. If you have chicken, say how many ounces. If you have salad, say how many cups, the ingredients, how much dressing, etc.

Do you use FitDay? If not, I strongly recommend it, at least to start so you can see how much you're really eating and what the percentages are.

I'll be happy to help (as I'm sure others will as well), but I'm leaving shortly for a day trip to the coast. I'll check back in late this afternoon, though.

And please, join us in the daily Java Room thread. Ask your questions there, or ask them out here. You might even want to ask them OUTSIDE the Java Room, but also post IN the Java Room so people know there's a question out here.

You see, a lot of us have our frequently visited threads in a subscription so we often go right to them rather than looking at the forum as a whole.

Good luck! Talk to you soon!
