Default Can this be possible???

Last night I was so disgusted that I was ready to give up. I have been on Induction for almost two weeks. The first week I lost 3 pounds only to gain it back in a matter of a couple of days. I have been diligently counting carbs and keeping them under 20 each day. I felt like I was spinning my wheels. I gave in last night and ATE AN APPLE! This morning I wake up and I am deeper in ketosis and have lost three pounds. How is this possible? Do I need MORE carbs than what Dr. Atkins says in the book? I am totally befuddled over this.

This is a pretty common occurrance when you start LCing, Twinkle. It's a sign that the carbs you think you're eating may not be the carbs you're actually eating - that is you're underestimating and need more. Using a site like www.fitday.com will definitely help you keep track of your intake (both calorie and carbs).

Keep in mind that many of us lose better with more carbs. I am once such. Also keep in mind that not all carbs are created equal. Eating a slice of bread might not have produced the same results for you.

LC is one big learning curve - you spend much of the time learning what works for you. Just dont expect such results every time you eat an apple
