Ah who cares?!? Your story is really inspiring!! And of course you gave us the updates! I think one of the reasons I remembered the other story is because you live so close to me. I live right near Route 48, off of Route 51. Take care, and keep us updated!

Back at ya! I lived in Monessen (Explains why I moved, I guess) If you ever watch the channel with the Real Estate on it then you probably saw me. I was a Realtor with Century 21 M Lucero in Belle Vernon. I also worked as a bartender in Donora when I was a lot younger. It is a small world!

I read your story on the Atkins website awhile back. It made me cry...I just read it again and yep, I cried again. You are an absolute doll and deserve everything wonderful that happens in your life. Congrats on your new baby. They make everything worthwhile. To stay on your plan throughout your pregancy is a feat in itself. You've really got it, and by that I mean that you know that there isn't a single excuse to go off plan for any reason. You've made me realize there are others out there struggling to succeed everyday like me and doing it.

I am so proud of you...you are a winner!!!

Much success and happiness in the future.

Cheers.

Congrats, and I hope you and your little one are well. I echo what Cindy said. I'm so happy for you. You didn't let cruel kids ruin your adult life. I'd love to see some of the people who used to make fun of you now - I bet the tables have turned in many cases!

My mom's from N. Versailles and my aunts, uncles and cousins all live around there. I love visiting... just for the chipped ham. I pack away at least a pahnd of it when I go dahn for the weekend.

...and I'd never have thunk you were 200 lbs. You look super-slim!

It's funny that us Pittsburghers posted on the same thread. I wonder how often that happens! Frannie, I know exactly where Port Vue is, I used to work in McKeesport for Dish Network. You ARE an inspiration to us! You look fabulous, and seem so upbeat and friendly!!

nka: I have seen that channel before! I can't recall anyone specifically from it, but I've probably seen you. My Dad is originally from Monessen (1930's). I don't blame ya for moving, the town seems to be drying up no matter what they do. I'm just a hop, skip, and a jump away in Rostraver! Been here all of my 24 years except for a small stint in Moon Twp. The area just keeps growing, but that's the way it goes! We used to be considered "country!"

Kristine: We don't talk like that! Oh ok, we do, I admit it! I am very fluent in Pittsburgh-ese.

Have a great day ladies!!

You look great Frannie. Congratulations. Now you're in maintenance. You know, I don't know how maintenance is like on Atkins, but if you want to eat carbs again without gaining, the CAD diet is very good. If you want, I could tell you about it. You will probably not believe me, but you can eat whatever you want for one hour a day. This includes carbs. You can have pizza, hotdogs, whatever. The rest of the day, though, you have to eat low carb. This works for me, maybe it will for you, too. Bye. Amy
