actaully, once you cut through all the huffery and puffery, he is not
that far off from what a lot of people on this forum have posted, that, in fact
when you get closer to your goal wt, calories do indeed count.

I've been stuck myself for about a year, at about 15 to 20 pounds above my goal. I still have
too much wt, around my midsection that I would love to get rid of. So maybe I'll experiment with
some of his ideas, such as addding a few more carbs, and watching the total calorie count, etc. I've already
been hitting the gym pretty good the past few weeks.

Anyway, back to Ellis, here's my problem with him:

1) he's fixated on the calorie in/calorie out bit, and completely
debunks the possibility of a metabolic advantage that may come
into play in a low carb diet. This may or may not be accurate, but who is
he to claim to have all the answers?

2) He's a blowhard. You could have said all he had to say in the above posting in
about a third of the space.

3) He claims a 20 - 30 gram a day low carb diet is impossible to follow. I've been doing it
for about a year and a half and I dont find it hard to do at all. In fact, even though
I stopped losing wt, I keep following this diet because it at least maintains my wt, given
my current lifestyle.
