That's why we should all purchase pasture-fed, or at least organic, meat and chicken...the animals are healthier, better treated, taste better, and are more nutritious...plus, it encourages the small producers instead of the big food giants who use these insane methods to save money...
If you haven't read Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, it is a must...it reveals all these atrocities in detail, plus all the financial and political games of the food industry...great read (except some misinformation about saturated fats)
