Thats true, and its also more true for protein. Its called the thermic effect of food. That is why studies show that 2300 calories on an LC diet is the same as 2000 calories on a low fat diet in terms of weight loss. But don't kid anyone, eating 2000 calories of chicken breast will make you lose faster than 3000 calories of chicken breast. The energy equation is simple and finite physics.
