Scientifically, this makes no sense at all. Increasing calories does not lead to increased weight loss. Otherwise Newton and Einstein were idiots Now there is a danger from eating TOO few calories, say 700-800 per day like in a Nutrisystem plan.....only because you lose weight SO fast the amount of muscle loss increases. If you are eating a reasonable amount of calories, say 1500-2000, are losing some weight, and don't feel overly deprived, why fool with it?

Remember the worst diet is the one you can't stick to.....
