Here's another:

Do you think the statin money pit will ever dry up?

There is now justification to challenge the use of statin drugs to lower cholesterol. Researchers first question the importance of lowering cholesterol. 1/ Then point to the dangers of these drugs, for example, the recall of Baycol after 30 or more deaths in the US alone. Then point to the inefficiency of the drugs. For example, a study at UBC reviewed published data on 60,000 patients that showed statin drugs had almost no preventative effect on heart disease. 2/ Finally, it turns out there are many natural remedies that work just as well or even better than statins for lowering cholesterol.

1. Ravnskov, The Cholesterol Myth,
2. McCormack, J., Second Thoughts on Statins, UBC Reports | Vol. 49 | No. 10 (Oct. 2, 2003)

(Abstract form The Coming Food Revolution)

The UBC researchers apparently aren't on the statin payroll.
