For the hair-skin-nail formula, I'd say it's fine to take 2 with one meal and 1 with the other meal/snack. However, I'm willing to bet those have only tiny amounts of vit B12 in them .. even 3 pills a day won't provide enough to have much therapeutic benefit. I'm also willing to bet the B12 is the cyanocobalamin form, which tends to be poorly absorbed from the gut whether taken with food or not.

The best absorbed form of B12 is methylcobalamin ... at least 1,000 mcg per day. I use Natural Factors sublingual tablets. They dissolve under the tongue and are quickly absorbed, thus bypassing the poor gut-absorption problem . They're more expensive, but I usually buy in the large 180 tab. bottle, which often has a bonus of 30 free tabs.
