To me, it doesn't sound so much like a documentary as simply another reality show. You're right that they're being exploited for the entertainment value of the various medical and physical problems fat people face, the ways fat people are desperately trying to lose weight (and either failing to lose, or failing to keep it off), learn to accept their weight, or try to get others to accept their weight.
But we'll see what type of message it's really sending once the program airs. |
