Yes, Jean. Ethics begins with kindness and compassion for fellow human beings, and extends outward. I wish this could be embraced by governments, religions, communities, and families.

The most telling part of this long essay in my view: The writer decided that taking supplements to make the diet healthy for humans didn't seem right. Well, duh.

I hope we can continue to encourage humane and drug-free animal husbandry as well as chemical-free agriculture.
