I started keto January of 2019 and have not left it since. I have not gotten COVID, as far as I know.

But we also took every precaution, and are double vaxxed, double boosted as of last week.

For further anecdata, my whole low carb journey has coincided with better resistance to catching stuff, and once I addressed my Vitamin D status so even if I caught something, the symptoms were mild.

Keto is the only way I can keep my autoimmune condition in remission. So I keep close track. Now I do have a tripwire in terms of my cortisol levels: these skyrocket with stress (like the last couple of YEARS) and that will create a flare. Now that I can finally treat all my conditions simultaneously, I'm seeing improvement on all fronts.

DH is doing keto as part of the Dr. Sarah Myhill protocol for CFS/ME. As she says: "Diet is more than half the treatment. You won't get better if you don't fuel and nourish your mitochondria."

In support of your thesis.
