On a low-fat/low-calorie (1,000 calorie) diet...I lost 22 pounds in 6 months. On Atkins, where I regularly eat 2K-3K calories a day, I have lost 67 pounds in 4 months. On top of that, the USDA's own graphs show that people are eating less calories and fat now than they were in 1965. Yet, we are more Obese than we were in 1965.
