Where to start really depends on your fitness level and what equipment you have available to you, but generally you should start light, with a combination of body weight exercises and dumbbell exercises (or machine work if available). Having a simple bench provides a good platform.

Another alternative to consider is sand bag workouts. Sandbags are extremely versatile, allow for you to adjust the weight easily, and provide very practical strength. Just buy a high quality workout sand bag if you go that route.

Once you get going and see the 1st visible evidence in your musculature, you may become hooked
