I don't have a functioning thyroid at all, it was killed with radiation (on purpose). So my meds need to replace T4 (which is the main thyroid hormone) and arguably T3. Although pigs and humans don't make the same T4/T3 ratio.
Taking only T3 would probably kill me over time. |
