My son was on gluten free / casein free until about age 8 and it did really help (although real hard at that young age) but now he's older he makes his own decisions and its junk food. My wife is not going to eat low carb so those guys just aren"t going to do it. Her situation I believe has some non mental roots -- I suspect a brain tumor maybe , Might be benign but she has made it clear from day one no doctors no meds. As long as she isn't harming herself or others there isn't much I can do. it is pretty rough though.
