Because it is so much harder to lose weight at my age, I have slowly eliminated all carbs which means all grains, all fruits except avocados and all vegetables. I still eat cheese. I do not eat added fats except the butter I use in cooking meats and the whipping cream in creating bernaise sauce. My fats come from my cuts of beef and pork. I am also on a modified intermittent fast

Since we are all different we need to tailor our food to our needs and reactions. I am terribly responsive to carbs now - even small amounts slow weight loss or even create a gain.
