Some people say to use fat instead of carbs before a workout. Maybe some tea with coconut oil in it?

You may want to talk to your doc about menopause and hormones as estrogen decrease can increase weight.

Your carb tolerance level may have changed too, you may not be able to eat as many carbs and maintain weight loss.
