The leptin question is sort of loaded.

But I can tell you that if I try to chug a liter of heavy whipping cream, the "stop eating, I feel stuffed" takes a lot less than 20 minutes to kick in. I've never actually tried to chug a liter of heavy cream, but I have drank much smaller amounts and gotten that stuffed feeling.
