The weird thing about L-Carnitine was that it blocked the undesirable side-effects of hyperthyroid without actually reducing thyroid hormones. So folks were speculating you could make people hyper and give them L-Carnitine to help them lose weight.
I did notice some strange effects with L-Carnitine. I got kind of hot and hyper feeling.
I'm definitely in the list of folks who wouldn't mind a magic-pill. Low carb/diet alone isn't fixing the problem for me.
