In particular, I like the point about willpower being a "muscle" that degrades with use. Almost no one has consistent willpower. I think most people (in regards to weight loss) who say they can do it through sheer force of will are probably people who are predisposed toward being thin anyway, and think they are doing it through willpower.

You have to have a process. That's what can work when your will starts to degrade.

As far as exercise, I tend to gain weight when I do it consistently, but I feel much better. I lost 100 pounds before I even considered exercise.
