The book deals with a lot of crap that just goes over my head and I don't bother reading it anymore and any information I need I get it from these forums.
The diet does seem boring, but I pressume if your diet was anything like mine its changed hugely from fastfood, chocolate and beer to steaks omlettes and veggies. After a while when you see results you'll get into a pattern and without out realising it you'll be consuming a lot less calories than your daily intake requires and lose weight that way
Compared to last year there's a lot more choice out there now for people trying to switch to low carb products
