Vivian, I haven't checked the shops in Nanaimo, but in Victoria i get my flax meal at Thrifty's, in the flour aisle, in small Bob's Red Mill packets with the rest of the ground seeds and specialty flours & meals. I find the almond "flour" as ground almonds in the bulk bins right with the rest of the almond alternatives.
