There is no more walk-run-walk for me until late Fall. I'm doing good to make a good-paced 2 mile walk instead of my regular 3 miles. I'm not going to beat myself up about it, as I'm doing the best I can under the circumstances.

I'm driving out to help DD with farm animals, and it is considerably cooler there. So I will have a break from the Vegas heat and maybe get a few more steps in for the time I'm gone.

This morning I hydrated very heavily before the walk, including two glasses of electrolyte water. I took a bottle of that with me and drank all of it while walking. With the cool towel on my head, it was fairly painless today. I'm fortunate that I live in the farthest SW corner of Las Vegas so the desert path is available to me. The concrete and pavement refuse to let go of the past day's heat. Can you say "oven?"
