You can find the imitation honey at wal-mart

To make the onions, I just sliced them about 3/8 inch thick, kept them in large slices, not rings, (don't separate the rings) and laid them on my dehydrator. Took several hours to dry them out completely. They turn a sort of golden color when they dry.
