I have done the experiment of checking my blood sugar after I have indulged.

The white potato increases my blood sugar much more than the sweet potato.

My nutritionist told me a potato serving is the size of your fist (baked) -- if and when I eat one I put butter and pepper on it.

I haven't had a potato in so long I don't know how it would affect me now.

Once you get out of induction and you decide to have one I would eat a very small amount and make sure you have it with protein and other veggies (a big salad). That would probably help it not to spike your sugar or offset the cravings for carbs quite so bad. I wouldn't have any other carb with it like bread, rolls or such.
