Welcome, Anne

You have found a great forum for support and information, if you enter from this index page https://forum.lowcarber.org. you can see all the active sub forms including those on health. At the top of the Atkins forum there is a summary of the induction program that many people follow. https://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=236482. There are buddy Groups and challenges to join, or start a journal, whatever type of support works for you.

There is a well known low-carb doctor in West Virginia, though over near the Harpers Ferry area. Here’s a talk by him https://www.dietdoctor.com/i-dedica...-of-my-patients. He uses the same simple diet program that my doctor uses at Duke clinic. Based on Atkins induction but with measurements for the limited food so you don’t even need to count carbs.
https://www.dietdoctor.com/se/wp-co...starch_diet.pdf. The two week challenge and printable brochure ( can use as a shopping list) is a good start plan as well. https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto

I have read success stories over the years for rheumatoid arthritis, well known ones are the chef https://www.dietdoctor.com/authors/seamus-mullen. and Michaela Peterson. https://www.dietdoctor.com/the-glob...ivore-lifestyle I hope Eating low carb will help you as well reducing the inflammation.

All the best
