It does make sense, and the cereal manufacturers can easily masquerade their processed "foods" as healthy whole grain goodness with the added sugars and fortified vitamins while staying within the vegan guidelines. More evidence that the "plant-based" and vegan drumbeats are heavily funded by those with deep pockets. Feeding the world is not really simply stimulated by ethics, the primary stimulant is revenue. Nothing wrong with that as long as the conflicts of the messages are understood.
And now . . . we have cereal "meat."
