Default Inulin and FOS

Hi Folks:

Another search landed me in this thread. I thought I would add a question and comment that might be helpful.

Donna Gates recommends fermented vegetables, kefir, and FOS / INULIN to help fight Candida.

For the Atkins diet I have become a fan of Inulin, I blend it with Stevia or pure Sucralose (for commercial applications) to use as a maltodextrin-free sweetner. Inulin is about 7% carbs (natural sugars) and 87% soluble fiber. The fiber portion is supposedly fiber as far as the human digestive system is concerned, but to the bacteria in the digestive system it is like mana from heaven. Thus it is called a "pre-biotic" It does not contain the useful bacteria but it creates the environment where they can grow and proser.

These days inulin can be purchased as a white powder at many health food stores.

Now my question, have any of you tried it and if so can you report the results?

Good luck and good health to you all and thanks for listening.

Ferrando
