Default Recipe for lo-carbers

Hi, from honeypie with a recipe for everyone who really likes a big chunk of meat for dinner.
HAMBURGER STEAKS

2 pounds Ground Beef 1 tsp. Garlic Powder 2 tsp. Onion Powder

1 tsp. Salt (or to taste) 1/4 tsp. Black Pepper (to to taste)

1/2 pound Mushrooms (sliced), canned ones can be used instead

1 medium Onion (diced) 1 tsp. Wor hestershire Sauce

8 slices Bacon

Mix together meat, garlic powder, onion powder, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper together. Form meat into 4 large patties. With palms of hands, press against sides of meat to make about 1/2" smooth side. With 2 pieces of bacon, wrap 1 piece around 1/2 of meat pattie and wrap second piece of bacon around other side. Loop bacon pieces over one another a couple of times to hold in place. Place meat patties in 12" non-stick skillet that has been heated. Put lid on skillet and cook over medium-high heat 8 minutes, turn meat patties over gently. Return lid to skillet and continue cooking 8 more minutes. Remove lid, with fork gently press down on meat, if juices run clear meat is done, if not continue cooking, checking often so meat does not dry out.

/While meat is cooking, saute' onions and mushrooms in 1 to 2 Tbsp. Butter until onion is soft. Keep hot until meat is done.

Put a hamburger steak on plate and top with 1/4 of onion mushroom mixture.

Enjoy!
