Weight link suggestion

I think it would be good to have an automatic link from the P.L.A.N. weight input to your user control panel. So when you update your daily weight it automatically updates it in your UCP.

Also, when you do a search for foods, it always throws the results on the bottom of the page but when the page re-loads, your at the top. So it's Search, page down, page down, page down, select and enter; enter next food, page down, page down, page down, select and enter. Why not move the search results to the top of the page or on a sperate page?

All in all, I'm loving this new function. It rocks for induction carb tracking. No cheats can happen and I'm encouraged by the graph.

BTW, what are tags?

Good idea.

I didn't understand this clearly :)

When you search in the entry page, the page should scroll down to the results box. This maybe a browser issue.

i think.. what was meant.. was after searching for an item, and selecting it.. it sends you back to the entry page, to the top of the page whether you are scrolling for breakfast, lunch or dinner.. it does not go to the place where you are filling in (ie. dinner), so you would have to search, pick, arrow down to adjust.
i believe this is what was meant

Yes, sounds like you have the same problem, Dianna. It makes creating a recipe tedious, as well as just entering new food in the Daily summary area. But perhaps it has to do with our systems and not the general population, as Tam indicates it should go to the results box; which it does not-for me. I have several computers to play with at my home. When I get a chance, I'll try it on a different system.

I'm still not clear on this. It may not be a problem, just the way it cuurently works. Let me try to re-phrase what you're saying, and let me know if I got it right:

When you enter food items for dinner, say you go to the quick selection box, you selected a steak, a sald and a salad dressing, then you select "Dinner" from the meal selection box, and then you click "add selected items". When the selection is submitted, and the page is loaded back, the selected items are entered as Dinner, you would like the page to scroll down to the Dinner section, instead of showing all the meals from the top?

Is that what you expect it to do?

We can add an auto-scrolling feature. But I just wanted to confirm if this is what you're talking about, or if there's a strange thing going on that I'm not aware of.

yes.. when i pick a food item for dinner, they do go to the dinner selection for me.. but the page reloads at the top of the page.
ok.. i see how you can to pick multiple items in the quick section. i hadn't known that I could do that before.
it is when i go to the "search for" selection area that i noticed it had loaded to the top of the page after each selection (if the items are not in your quick pick, this is sometimes 6 or 7 items for dinner), and its not a problem..if it has to load at the top, but if it can be stopped at the "dinner" section when loading something for "dinner" that would be awesome.

I didn't know you could select multiple items either! That was going to be my next suggestion! I'll need to check this out and it may make my problem disappear.

I'll try to explain what happens better. When I am imputting items into my daily consumption lists, I can either do a search or select from my favorites or recent items list. I then selected one item, then indicated it as Breakfast, snack etc, and hit the Add to button. The next screen I see is the top of the daily entry page. So I would then arrow down to select my next item. I was not aware that you could add several items at a time.

Chillygatr Mon, Apr-18-05 05:52

OK, I can't see how to add several items at one time. Can someone walk me through this?

tamarian Mon, Apr-18-05 08:06

To add several items at once, just hold the control key (Ctrl) while picking the items with the mouse. Ctrl+Click will select the items one by one, each time you click while holding down the Ctrl key.

To select a range of items, use the Shift key. Shift+Clcik for the first one, and then Shift+Click on another item will select the range of items between the items.

Give it a try, and let me know how it goes.

You just made my day! :) The Ctrl key doesn't do it on a Mac but the Command (or apple) key does. Very cool.

Another note, have you considered putting the "favorites" above the "recent" items? It seems I select from my favorites much more than from the recent and it might be handier to have those listed first.

Is there some way to get yardwork included in the exercises? I raked yesterday and my heartrate was way up but I couldn't figure out to include something like that. I know there are charts somewhere that show caloric consumption for different, around the house, type exercises.

Insteresting idea re: order of favs vs, recent, I'll have to think about it.

re: yarwork. You can enter it as a custom exercise, and then it will show up in the exercise options.
