Chocolate question

I knew mentioning chocolate would get ya!

I have a nagging question that I can't seem to find an answer for. I'm finding that if I eat correct LC meals for several days and take a small shot or two of chocolate once every few days (like the little miniatures or a two Rollos), I drop 4-5 lbs the very next day. And I don't gain it back. Does anyone have any info or a link to somewhere what will tell me in LC diet terms what is happening? I weighed 198 on Monday of this week and this morning (Wednesday), I weighed in for our contest at 194. That's 5 lbs in 2 days. I had chocolate last night. This has happened to me two other times. Bizarre

magic chocolate

We were told at the Diet Center training camp for counselors that stress will cause the cells to be rigid even after the fat tissue had broken up it's jus hangin in there cause "we are uptight, anxious, whatever life is throwing" so that's why relaxation of any kind helps to loosen those little boogars to let the fat flush out. that also explains plateau's WE HAVE TO RELAX AND also THAT NO WATER ?!NO FLUSHING OF THE BROKEN FAT TISSUE.
My theory is it's your nourishment to eat chocolate... it's love...it's a wonderful symbol of indulgence and it's fantastic tasting so your little cells and your mind say "yippee" she loves us , she loves herself and she RELAXES!!

makes sense to me from my neck of the woods but I am no chemist or nurse or real nutritionist. Grannadee

Oh wow! That sounds absolutely magical, to eat a bit of chocolate and lose a few pounds! There has got to be something to that....I've heard similar things by others....I, on the other hand CAN'T just eat a couple of pieces of anything chocolate....I am a chocoholic and cannot control myself once I've started! Glad it's working for you though....

:D  You dont have to worry about overeating the LC chocolate, since due tothe sweetner in it, it does have the laxative effect if you over induldge...the carbs are so low that it is truly amazing.

Hi I'm interested to know what this LC chocholate is. We don't have a lot of stuff like that 'down under'. I guess we wait till it's tested in the US first ;)

Is LC chocolate the same as chocolate that has a high cocoa content (like 75% cocoa)?

LC Chocolate Bars

Go to Carbolite.com or to Russelstovers.com and you can see what they have to offer. Both are excellent with Russell Stovers being a little better. The net carb content is extremely low. A lot of times when my hubby was dieting with me, we would just split a bar, even though they are a little small. It was just enough to satisfy after a meal. Let me know if you find them. You can also order throught the mail. Good luck! :agree: :agree:

I've found that it's not just chocolate - I ate one full graham cracker (4 small quarters) with whip cream and the next morning, I had dropped 3 lbs. I'm just eating very healthy, low low carb all the time and then giving myself bursts of carbs now and then and it seems to really burn off the fat!

Thanks kywoman2

i'm a little slow to reply but thanks anyway. I'm salivating just thinking about it! ;)

I can't help wondering what causes this rapid weight loss? Has anyone else had this experience?

also did anything else change Darla like your exercise or portion size?

Hi Darla! Looks like you're doing a bit of carb cycling. There's a massive thread on it here. It's basically where you keep your body guessing by 'surprising' it now and then with some carbs. I do it sometimes, but with healthy carbs like veggies, nuts, berries, you get the idea.

Interesting thread...hmm...I might try this on the weekend...lol...
