I am a REAL :) german. Lived in the USA for 10 years now and miss all the family and some german things...just wanting to say hello.

Ich bin in Bonn aufgewachsen, habe aber die letzten 1.5 Jahre vor meinem Umzug Oktober 2001 hierhin in Berlin gewohnt....

Im Sommer gehts wieder hin für 3 Monate, ich kann es kaum erwarten! Hawaii wäre aber auch nicht schlecht.

Ich bin auch auf South Beach, mit mäßigem Erfolg... aber darüber habe ich schon ausgiebig im SB Forum gejammert. Mannnnnnooooooo.

Was hat Dich hierhin verschleppt?

Hey natascha, mein Mann ist in der Army und wir waren erst in Colorado Stationiert, dann musste er fuer 1 Jahr nach Korea und wir durften uns aussuchen wohin wir nach Korea hinkommen. Also haben wir Hawaii gewaehlt. Urlaub machen ist es ganz schoen, aber wenn man dort lebt ist das paradies doch nicht so ganz paradisisch.

ach nee..... das kann ich mir kaum vorstellen ;-)

Andererseits -- ich war vor langer Zeit für 3 Wochen in Thailand: traumhaft! Aber leben möchte ich da auch nicht. Immerhin spricht man in Hawaii Englisch!

Blöde Frage: wie hast Du es in so kurzer Zeit zum Senior Member gebracht? Viele Posts?

Ja, ich bin ja fast jeden tag hier fuer ein paar Stunden am Stueck. LOL
Thailand wuerde ich auch gern mal sehen.

Hallo alle zusammen. Ich habe schon die Hoffnung aufgegeben, jemanden hier wieder zu finden.
Ich bin seit 1994 in den Staaten und habe drei Kinder und einen Mann, den ich in Deutschland kennengelernt habe. Kann leider auch nicht meine pm funktionen benutzen, naja.
Es wäre nett mit euch Kontakt aufzunehmen.

I shall be in Germany soon, singing opera in Berlin. I was there recently for a week or so, and I thought it was a wonderful city. I've stayed in Frankfurt and Munich in the past, and visited some other places.

I speak German very badly, don't write it at all, but I understand it quite well. I have studied it by myself throughout the years.

I've always liked the German people and wish I could communicate better in their language. I hope that sometime I will get to spend more time there, like I did in France and Italy, and really relax into speaking German.

Just found out today that I'll be in Berlin for longer than I thought; I have another job there after the job I already had.

So I am determined to keep up the LC-ing and also to improve my German.

Hey Suleika, when are you in Berlin? I take it from previous entries of yours that you are an opera singer??? Will you be performing?

My husband and I will be in Berlin May - August. The opera houses and theatres usually AND QUITE UNFORTUNATELY close through most of the summer, but since we'll be there a bit earlier this year than usual, we might be able to catch an opera or two?
