January 2021 Daily Weigh-In - Everyone Welcome!
 
This is a friendly and supportive group. We celebrate victories, both scale and non-scale. We cheer for you for keeping on going in the wake of adversity. We wait patiently every day with you who have slow losses. Everyone is welcome to join right in at any time.

Start by putting the date and then your weight. Each day, copy and paste your entry from the day before and add that day's weight. (Hint: an easy way to do this is to hit "quote" in your previous post, then delete the 2 quote tags at the beginning and end of your new post. This will preserve any formatting and smilies you had.) It's a good way to keep a record of your progress.

Hi Kristine....and anyone else who frequents this thread. Well the doc has spoken and it's either loose some lbs or go on meds for high blood pressure. I've done it before....dropped 60 lbs (but that was a loooonnggg time ago) ...this forum was helpful for keeping me on track....so here I go again. For the record I tend to follow the GI Diet by Rick Gallop....not so much a diet but a guide as to which foods are better choices. I also tend to drop the first 10-20 lbs rather quickly. I'm not looking to drop 60 lbs again....I was much too thin for my frame.

I've been low carbing for a while, starting at 250, and am almost down 20 lbs. I've been having a lot of back, right hip and knee pain, and am waiting until Jan. 12 for the results of my MRI. At 71, I doubt I will do surgery, hoping they have a alternate treatment for me.
My next goal is 25lbs gone and to have lost 10% of my weight. then 30 down and I can fit into my black leather winter coat-than I need here in Michigan. Thanks for giving me a place to chat with others and keep me on track. Waiting to hear about your successes and goals.
