PCOS and stopping oral contraceptive

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, put on Loestrin 24 (which works great, but unfortunately my new insurance won't cover it), and advised to loose 20 lbs. I was 5'1 and 145 lbs. I am now 5'1 and 130 lbs. Since my new insurance wont cover the loestrin 24, the doc. is switching me to tri-sprintec. I have read the reviews and saw that it causes panic attacks and weight gain, both of which i am prone to. I want to stop taking the BC pills after my last month of loestrin 24 is through to see if the Atkins has helped regulate me. Has anybody else had any luck with any similar situations? Need some advice. :/

 Hi! Once I got to a low weight and was uite strict about carbs - atkins OWL level most days - I came off the pill and continued a regular cycle. I was surprised too.
