The cost of LCing ££££££££

Don't get me wrong - I think this WOE is the way forward for me and DH but - THE COST OF IT! We have just been away - i know - not a good idea in induction - but the difference between 2 x steak vs 2 x pasta/bagette is enormous!

The weekly shop i think has doubled in price too! i should also mention that i have an enormous appetite which is why i have moved away from ww - one can only eat so much zero point veg soup in a day!

Also i am not a great cook and have relied on a fair amount of pre prepared stuff which of course is no longer possible.

Any suggestions, before i sell the family silver?

Cooking is easier than you think!

Yes HighCarb foods are cheaper comparatively but add to that the cost (in anxiety about health and weight issues, WeightWatchers fees etc). It is the Food Industry's method of hypnotising (and persuading) us to buy what it dictates.

Real food made from basic ingredients is fun, easier than you might think and a lot cheaper. You only need to master a few recipes - and then adapt them as you go along.

After Induction you will eat a lot less. My appetite changed a great deal.

You can find good alternatives if you look. Where there is a Will there is a Way.
Take care.

Hi

I have to agree it is definately worth trying to make your own, I have made muffins and cheesecakes etc and its fun experimenting with the ingredients you can use like the soya protein and ground almonds etc.

I can't offer too much help with the bill though...mine hasn't gone up too much as I don't eat meat, I eat a lot tuna, eggs and quorn - much cheaper than meat !

good luck with some home baking
