Do the values for "seaweed, raw" mean dried seaweed, and are the amounts by weight?

If you don't mind a couple of questions:

1) Does raw seaweed mean dried or fresh from the ocean?

2) Are the measurements by weight or by volume?

Thanks very much.

If you go to the USDA food database and search for seaweed, you will get a list of several kinds of seaweed from which you can select the one you want. Some of them specify "dried" and others say "raw", so I would guess the raw ones are not dried. The link to the USDA site is below:

HTH! :)

P.S. I'm just on my phone here. If this doesn't answer your question, post again. I'll check in when I get home, and if no one else has responded, I'll try to help further. :)
