That photo looks like the Virgin Islands, Judy.

I lost 1/2 inch from my waist since switching to SB. :)

WOW Susan...did you want that to happen? Thats fabulous for a long drink of water like you!!

Sure, that 1/2 inch has been stuck there forever. When I was a teen I had a 25 inch waist. Not that I will ever see that again! :D

I am here! =) Weighed in at 159 this morning! =) Pound a day baby, gotta love this 2 week introductory period lol.

I WISH I could get back to my 26 inch waist. Won't ever happen though, so I will not even attempt it. I am not so concerned about my waist size as I am how much muffin top I have in a pair of nice fitting jeans.. I hate when my love handles are WAY sticking outta my jeans..

Good Job!!

Your muffin top will definitely get smaller....and you may need to do something like Pilates to tone it up.

I'm reading the "Super Charged" book and had to point out the following from page 249 re: phase II:

Even though these are "good carbs", they are still higher in sugar than the lean protein and vegetables that form the mainstay of phase I menus. And if, after spending 2 weeks eating a very low sugar diet, you suddenly flood your system with carbohydrates, even good ones, it can sometimes trigger the same cravings that you got you into trouble in the first place.

Thats why I recommend gradually reintroducing good carbs into your diet. Some people can do it over a 2 week period; others- especially those who find that they're still getting cravings- need to add carbs even more slowly, ultimately sticking with 2 good starches and 2 fruits indefinitely, or 3 fruits and fewer starches if starchy carbs really stimulate cravings. In addition, if you ever find that you're regaining weight on phase II, cut back a bit on the total servings of good carbs or just eat a few bites of these foods, and see how it goes"

Emphasis in bold is mine....I've been criticized for the way I interpreted phase II in order to keep my weight loss moving. I cut out the starch part of phase II and kept adding a bit of grain here and there and always had my fruits each day. A female in her 50s has issues with too much starch. So too all of you, and you know who you are, who told me I did not do SB..... :p :p :p and a Bronx cheer too!! :p  so there!! :D

I'm going to B&N and buy the new book this week. I wanted to read the old book first.

Turns out I need the weigh-ins or I kind of wander off. So adding myself back in. :D Could use your good wishes, as while I'm determined, I'm not so great at the follow-through. Wishing you all an excellent week.

Hi everyone still here. I had a major revalation. Needless to say I went off plan for 2 days. Not good, But heres the difference. I do not feel guilty or feel like a total failure. The consaquences was bloating (very uncomterable) Now heres the kicker I started looking forward to getting back on plan ( which I am) the bloat is gone. Always before I would hate myself and dread starting over or say the heck with it. Wow this is so different. I dont feel like I threw it all out the window. (is this how normal eating is like. Eat right and you can have that occasional dinner out with out feeling like you comitited the ultimite crime. Still going through the food list. and reading all the past post. Have a great night eveyone. :D
