My transformation

I have struggled with my weight all my life. I have forever been on a quest to be fit and healthy with a good body. In my early twenties I finally got the ball rolling and got into fairly good shape for the first time in my life. I felt the best I had ever felt and thought I would never go back to how I was. Fast forward to my thirties and I became a father of twins. My regime and good habits slipped away. After a few years I found myself right back where I started - and I hated it. I knew what I had to do but I could not get any momentum going. It was so much harder with all the extra responsibilities in my life. I had to rebuild my way of life from the ground up. It took many false starts before I finally gained some traction and saw consistent progress. I have not posted much in the past and have generally been quite private with my progress. Now that I have created a whole new mindset and way of making progress I am hoping that I can share more. Here is a before and after picture. On the left is me around 4 years ago when I was in terrible shape and not in a good place. On the right is me today around 60 pounds lighter feeling better than ever.

Thank you - I certainly have learned that the hard way after losing all of my progress before. It's so easy to let things slip when you reach a goal. Your wise words are appreciated!

Thank you. You make very good points - its much more than just what you eat. Exercise, sleep, and keeping stress low have all been important to me.
