Women: How does TOM Affect Your Weight Loss?
(I put this in the Tips and Stalls area because I want to find out if I'm in a stall or if this is TOM-related.)
I confess that I've never really kept track of weight gain/loss as that time comes and goes. I've been fortunate not to suffer from PMS (as I know so many women do) and I've never had bad cravings associated with TOM (since sugar used to be my "drug of choice," I just craved sugar all the time! What difference did it make what time of the month it was?!  ). In terms of weight loss and measurements shrinking, things had been proceeding very well for two months - I lost 25 pounds. Then suddenly, it stopped and my weight even crept up a couple of pounds. I've been doing exactly the same things I've been doing all along - and NOT cheating. The only difference is TOM. SO I thought I would ask other women what their experience has been with trying to lose weight and TOM. Do you gain a few pounds before, during, after? Can you gauge how it's affecting your body? I know, to many of you, I must seem like the most ignorant woman on the planet not to know how it affects me! Thanks for reading all this and for sharing your thoughts in return. Michelle |
I do not loose anything for about two weeks, week prior and week of. I usually gain a couple. No other change, just tom. He's a hateful ole fart that causes me way too much problems. Once its over I will drop a lb or two. I have to keep this in mind during that time or I get discouraged realy bad. As far as symptoms, PMS from HELL, bloating, water retention.
