A Great Rice Substitue

Hi everyone,

I have found a wonderful rice substitute, most of you have probably been doing this. But for those of you who haven't:

I cook cauliflower until it's really mushy and then mush it even more with a fork. It will eventually have almost the same consistency of rice, and then serve it as rice.

Once you stir the sauce through it, it really doesn't taste too different, and it opens up a whole new world of stir fries and curries served with something to sap up the sauce!!! i have even been experimenting with my curries and making them from scratch, mixing up my own curry paste, it's actually quite good fun!

It's such a simple idea, but really great.

Hope some of you find this a handy hint.

Good luck all!!!

Oh.....

I have heard of ppl do this for faux potato... but I think this as rice is a great idea. Cauli's are so cheap right now where I live, so I can see a big cauli week coming up. Bought one last night that I swear weighs around 3kg.
