More Than You Think You Are.
I used to be a runner. I would get up and run at least 1 mile every morning come rain, snow, or hotter than Hades temperature. After a knee injury I had to cut back on my running. Then somewhere along the way I came up with the wonderfully lame excuse that I didn't have time to run, walk, go to yoga, go to pilates or even go to spinning class anymore. Today is the day I change all that by starting a gym log!

Exercise has not been happening other than my daily walking (I've been averaging around 5 miles a day plus up and down 6 flights of stairs for the past week and a half ), but I think my body is catching on. Once things settle down, which I'm hoping will be by the end of the week, I'm going to be hitting the gym hard. I want to get to my goal before this summer. It would be nice to hit it before spring break, but I'm not expecting miracles. :lol:

Still no real exercise beyond the walking and some occasional yoga. I've had a cold for the past few months that I just can't seem to shake. After I get home I just want to crash (after my homework that is).

Finally an actual gym log entry!
2.82 miles on the elliptical machine - 360 calories Weights - back, shoulder, side and squats to failure. |
Too sore to hit the gym and I don't want to hurt myself (the squats killed my legs), so today was strictly yoga.

Still no gym today. My legs are feeling better, but my chest and arms are killing me now!! Yoga off and on all day to stretch everything out.

Made it to the gym!
11 minute mile - total treadmill time - 17:44 Lower body workout - 40 minutes Since the weather has be gorgeous here, I decided to walk outside on my lunch break. :thup: ETA: This entry is for yesterday's workout. |
12 minute mile this time. so little slower - total treadmill time - 20:33
Upper body workout - 40 minutes I'm so sore this morning! :eek: And I forgot to check my milage on the treadmill. I know I at least got 2 miles!! |
Yesterday was legs, abs and back and 30 minutes cardio (calories were around 251, but I forgot what they exactly were!! ) I'm so bad at exercise!! I'm still on the first page of my gym log!! :o

No workout yesterday because I'm as graceful as a bull in a china shop!! :o I did dome pilates stretches for my hamstring and I'm GOING TO make it to the gym tonight!!!

Tuesday
30 minutes slow jog (3.7 - 4.0 mph) on Hill mode (incline from 3.5 - 12) Wednesday 30 minutes slow jog (3.7 - 4.0 mph) on Hill mode (incline from 3.5 - 12) The back and butt machine (That machine seriously tone the butt!!) Triceps Inner and outer thigh work. My knee is still hurting a bit and this has been a real sweat inducing workout while it recovers! |
Thurday is my day off
Friday Yoga this morning to stretch my hamstring/knee which is still stiff from the fall. I've got to pick up my bedspread tonight, but I'm going to try and get to the gym (try!! I guarantee nothing!) |
Hey gym log!! You and I are going to be best buddies for the next little while!! Even looking back at you from last week I've noticed that my big losses were when I was working out!!!
