I think I'll try it with cream cheese instead of mayo. Do you
think it would work?

Parmesan cheese...like the grated kind that comes in the green can thing?

I HAVE to ask as I want to try this too! is the chicken raw or cooked when it goes into the dish to be covered with the sauce????

I'm sure you could use that, but real parmesan would taste better. ;)

I'm pretty sure it would be raw. Cooked chicken would wind up too dry and yucky if cooked again for 40 mins. :)

I'm going to try it with half and half mayo and sour cream!! it reduces the flavour of the mayo beautifully when I've done that before like in potato salad (before LC).

I have taken the sauce and frozen it, only to add to the next time I make the dish. I keep re-using the sauce.
It is by far one of the best "comfort" sauces for missed foods.

After reading this yesterday, it stuck on my mind.
I remembered how good it was, and easy to fix........

Tonight, I made it up again, and microwaved it under saran wrap.
And..... I added alot of oregano, crushed between my fingers.

And.... I did it again with a can of well drained artichoke hearts.

It was as good as I remember.

I'm going to make somemore over the weekend.
I also added a good shaking of crushed red pepper..

This is such a good comfort food!

If you do a search under quick snacks for tofu chips, you'll find my recipe.

I made this recipe yet again.....
And I added a dollop (hefty tablespoon) of dijon mustard.

It just kicked it up a notch;)

I have a recipe like this that I put on tilapia...we add a little butter as well.

We broil the fish a few minutes then flip and add the topping....
Dh and I were just thinking that the topping was so versatile and could be used on chicken....probably even meat like pork...heck I would even cover a flank steak or something

there are so many spices you could add in

cayenne
celery seed
basil
dill
endless
