Thanks angeliqua! I just know how hard this is to do and the hardest part is going to be keeping it off -- but I am so ready for that challenge because I am a totally new me!!

This site gives me so much inspiration since so many have lost at least as much as I have or more and kept it off for years!! I will be counted among that number! :)

Thanks angeliqua! If you follow your LC WOE plan, you will see results -- that's the wonderful part of this WOE. Wishing you heartfelt success on your personal LC WOE journey!!

Yeeeehaaaaa --- this is the beginning of week 41 and I have lost a total of 123 pounds to date. I can't remember the last time I weighed under 130 lbs, maybe back in jr. high school and now I weigh 127 lbs.

I stole a quote someone wrote on another LC website that really hits home for me -- I changed it up to make it my own:

“Nothing Tastes as Good as Staying at my Personal Weight Goal Feels!”

:D

Wishing all of us continued SUCCESS on our personal LC WOE journeys!!

Really happy for you JustJo. You've really worked hard to get where you are. And it's clear you want to continue to work hard to stay where you are. We certainly have to celebrate times like these. Thanks for sharing the joy of meeting goal weight. I think I was 127 in my 20s ;)

Thanks for the positive feedback, GreekRibs! The hard work is really ahead of me -- to keep the weight off. But I am devoted to this LC WOE & WOL that I know I will continue to be successful.

Oh my I've lost 1/2 myself!!

Holy Hannah -- I've lost 2 more pounds!! I have lost 1/2 of myself! Now the hardest part of this begins... keeping the weight off and figuring out how many daily kcals & carbs I can have without gaining/losing weight!

I love that amongst all the well-deserved joy and euphoria of losing so much weight, you are focusing on the path ahead and understanding the difficulty of maintaining. Many, many congratulations on what you have already achieved! Try to always remember how you feel right now, it will be one of the tools that can help you 1, 2, 3 years from now when something carby seems irresistible. Your attitude of not taking maintenance for granted is the best indicator that you will have long term success. Well done.

Have you established which foods you can add back yet or are you starting that "adventure" now?

Kinda gives new meaning to "hope to see less of you".

Thanks Whofan!! I know what you mean and understand that the challenges are ahead of me. I haven't been tempted to "cheat" since I gave myself permission to cheat at Thanksgiving -- gosh that was sooo stupid, but it served as a learning experience. I journalized the experience to relive it if and when I think I can eat carbs like normal people.

I have a new quote I am living by right now that I have tacked on my frig:

“Nothing Tastes as Good as Staying at my Personal Weight Goal Feels!”

Thanks Elizellen, I am starting that "adventure" now. I know it's the most difficult. I only have 8 carbs a day, so I will do 5 carbs more a day for 2 weeks and evaluate the results then add 5 more until I find the "sweet spot" between daily kcals & carbs I can consume without gaining/losing weight. I understand that bouncing up or down 2 or 3 lbs is nothing to worry about. Hence, the reason I lost 5 more pounds then my actual desired goal. :D Do you think it's a good plan??
