Hi everyone,
I'm sooooo depressed today. I got on the scale this morning and it said I have gained 2 pounds back. I'm still doing induction and I haven't cheat not once. So I don't know what's causing the gain, but I know I don't like it. Does anyone have any clue as to why I'd be gaining instead of losing? Here's my menu so far this week. Someone please give me some input on this.

Monday
Breakfast 1/2 boiled egg & 1 oz cheese, 16oz water

16 oz water

Lunch
2 chicken wings, 2oz cheese, pork rinds, 16 oz water

16oz water

Dinner
2 pieces of chicken (thigh, wing) salad w/ 1tbsp ranch 16 oz water

snack 1 hamburger pattie w/ lc ketcsup

Tuesday
breakfast sausage patties, 16 oz water

16oz water

lunch
2 hamburger patties, green beans, pickle slices 16 oz water

snack pork rinds, 1/2 advantage bar

dinner
ribs, salad w/ 1 tbsp ranch, 16 oz water

Wednesday
Breakfast
2 sausage patties, 16 oz water.

I hope someone can give me some insite about why I gained this week instead of lost. Is it normal to do that? Has it happened to anyone else?? I need encouragement here guys, it's gonna be a blue blue day.. :(

Hi Sweetpee I have been on the Atkins for 3 weeks and I have gained 7 lbs. I work out 5 or 6 days a week. I eat 2 cups salad w/ ranch daily. I stick with it.

Just by looking at your sample menu, I would question whether or not you are eating enough calories. I don't know how long you have been LCing for but you don't want to throw your body into starvation mode or you wil be stalling yourself. Though it really could mean nothing as well. To me, two pounds on the scale is nothing. You could be retaining water or putting on some muscle mass (if you have been exercising). Sometimes you should just go by how you feel, your actual body measurements and how your clothes are fitting you. Don't sweat it, just hang in there.
